Yamhill County Women for Agriculture is pleased to announce our $750 Community College Scholarship. This scholarship is offered to encourage students to pursue a career in agriculture. There are many opportunities for fulfilling employment directly in production agriculture or supporting industries. We see the community college path as an opportunity for students to gain skills in a practical field or as a stepping stone towards further college education.
Criteria:
- Must be planning on or attending a community college majoring in an agriculturally related field.
- Must be a graduate of (or about to graduate from) a Yamhill County public or private high school, Western Mennonite School, Perrydale School or be home schooled within Yamhill County.
- Must complete our application form and return together with two letters of reference and high school transcripts.
- Postmark or email submission by May 20, 2023.
The successful applicant will be expected to attend a meeting of Yamhill County Women for Agriculture and give a short presentation.
The scholarship will be awarded by funds being deposited directly to the student's chosen school after enrollment.
